On a whim, I bought a 40 year old Dan Wesson Model 15 38/357 revolver with a 6 inch barrel and also got a 4 inch and 2 1/2 inch barrel for it. One of the features of Dan Wesson revolvers is that the barrels can be easily changed. The gun is really accurate. Below is my first outing with the gun at a target 45 feet away. Wondering if others have experience with Dan Wesson revolvers and what they thought.

They're great revolvers. Early models were kinda odd looking.
Once the shroud retaining nut was inset, they look much better.
Post a picture of yours please.

I've got a Pistol Pac and think they're wonderful revolvers. If you're able to pick up a Dan Wesson revolver at an "on a whim" price, you'd be crazy not to.

I want a pistol pack. By the way, there is a web site that has DW accessories like shrouds tools and other goodies. Some will show out of stock but I think it is cyclical. Don't know the name of it.

eBay is worth a look too. I seen a 6" barrel and shroud the other day go for $60 or so. Of course gunbroker, but they tend to sell for what they are worth there.

I fired one round out of a DW a while back.

Hit what I was aiming at.

Nice revolver but I have never been much of a DW fan. Can't say why though. No real reason I can explain.

Looks nice. Good snag. Back in my old wheel gun days if it didn’t have Colt or SW wrote on it nobody was much interested in it lol on a factual basis it seemed like a plausible concept on the barrel switching and never heard anybody griping about em..which is a good sign.

At the market Hall gun show there were a couple of pistol packs. One used price to $2,200 and a new one priced above MSRP.

I would have bought either one if they've been priced at $1,700.

HELLO !! nice to see someone post about my "all time favorite maker" Dan Wesson. I am THE official D/W full blown loonie ! been collecting for quite a while now. have 1 or 2 pac's. might be able to share. brought a couple of pieces to george r brown lately but no takers. average joe does not understand "rarity and condition", as they say on antiques roadshow. 20171204_164447.jpg 20190313_120305.jpg Full pistol pac.jpg George r Brown.jpg

Wow! That's impressive. DW revolvers have piqued my curiosity lately but I don't think I have that kind of disposable income.
