I was given this gun buy my uncle who purchased it new, shot a box, and put it in the safe in a Bianchi leather holster. He thinks it is a model 14 and he said that it is pretty old. I would like to know more about the gun and its value as I am considering trading it for something. If you know more about it, please share. Any info would be much appreciated.

That thing is worthless, but I will trade you a pack of gum for it because I am a nice guy. You even get to pick the flavor.

That is all I got. I have no idea on its value or model number.

    Looks nice though.

It's a great gun. Not one of thier highly desirable models but still solid as a rock. Value runs between $350.00-450.00.

Looks to be a model 15-2.
I cant be sure without seeing the muzzle end.
    Barrel retaining nut will tell.
Really good guns. I'd like a chance at buying it if you do sell.

This is also another good site that will give you some background and will help with ID'ing as well.

Dan Wesson's have been going for a bit more then they use to over the past few years. I get an email from Gunbroker every couple days with akll the new listing of DW's and one's like yours tend to be in the $400 plus range.

Here is a listing of some completed DW auctions to give you an idea on price: (You might have to be logged in ?? )

I am going to list it on TGT soon for sale or trade once I get a better idea of the value. The barrel nut is recessed. I would like to trade it for a Glock 17 with a couple of mags. If anyone is interested in purchasing it or offering a trade, shoot me a PM.
