Ever since she (9) helped me build an upper, she’s wanted one of her own. The 5.56 is too heavy so I got her a .22 to start.

Today we ripped it apart and rebuilt it together, how she wanted.

Took some dremeling to get the rail flush. An adapter for the barrel nut too but we managed to pull it off.

16 year old is getting a 5.56 for her birthday. Can’t wait for the next 3.

Very nice indeed. Looks like a happy young lady.
Now you need to bring her to the spring meet to make us old folks look bad.

    Out here by the lake!
Not trying to tell you what to do, but a picture of your daughter holding a gun theses days might not be a wise move. I totally support what you & her do, just think it might bite you in the ass at some point.

Nice Christmas gift and I do not mean just giving her the gun but rather giving it to her and giving your time as a dad to make it how she wanted it and for getting her into shooting. I started my daughter shooting when she was around 9 or 10 or so. We also started with a 22 although not an AR style but a bolt action. She liked it quite a bit and we kept at it until she discovered boys and that was the end of her shooting enthusiasm. Started my son off at around the same age; he hit the big 30 this year and still is into guns, shooting and hunting. Took him many years to get his first deer but he got one this year; got a bear his first year hunting when he was 16. Just realized it's been 14 years between until he got his deer - lucky 14! Anyway, it is always nice to see another youngster coming into pack. Keep up the great parenting!

I appreciate your concern, but I don't have any social media and do not post pics of damn near anything, anywhere. However, we've done nothing illegal and I invite those over who would try to tell me other wise. If I have, well I should had done my due diligence, but I don't believe I have so I should be fine.

If my daughter, holding a gun, bites me in the ass, maybe it's time for the people to bite the government in the ass. God bless.

A bear at 16? He must have felt like the king of his environment. My daughters eldest "discovered" boys and quickly discovered that it's in her best interest, and the boy's to be "UNdiscovered". Now she tells me about all the "hot guys" and I just keep giving her that "they only want one thing. Concentrate on your academics and you can have any man you want when they're all settled down and know they want a good woman and not a whore to screw" talk. She's 4th in her grade in IB classes. NO TIME FOR BOYS. I let her hang out with families as church, with boys hers age, under parental supervision. So she's getting to understand how to maneuver in a male-female relationship.
