    On this day in '41, My Father was an Ensign in the Navy for 15 minutes! He enlisted at the Naval Gun Factory, Washington D.C. where he worked. When they found out he was the 350ton crane operator from the 16" gun shop, they declared him "necessary to the war effort" and reclassified him as 4H.
