The guy is wrong. It just doesn't work that way.

It appears it shot through the deers eyes. You can see the tear/break between the eyes when he holds its head up.

There are few bullets that readily expand so it's not gonna explode like a .17 HMR on squirrels. Even the amax with aluminum tips are iffy on expansion, and that's using them against much tougher game such as elk.

The vaccuum did not suck the deers eyeballs out. And his "play it back slow" was still way too fast to show what he claims.

Still better than the morons on YouTube gut shooting deer at 100 yards because they want to shoot a deer with a .50 but can't shoot for shit. Then they have to chase it until it finally collapses.

I could see how it wouldn't have time to expand but through both eyes?

I really wish they showed the autopsy.

Let's us give a silent moment to the engineering of John Browning. Wholly $hit.

Are we allowed to say cut a whitetail in half? Ka-Boom American style. It can still be made into sausage...kinda. I guess if you're Cajun....

Their eyes are situated more on the sides of their head like most prey animals for wider field of view.

It's a 1/97,245 shot but that's how it appears to me. The deer was standing perfectly at 90*. He was probably aiming at the ear but Barrett semi autos aren't know for moa accuaracy. Built for minute of SCUD launcher. Went through both eye cavities.

Can't prove it obviously. But if there was that much going on around the bullets as they went through the air my paper targets would have much bigger holes in them. I think demo ranch tried to test the idea of the BMG shockwave by shooting just above the surface of a shallow pool and got nothing.

I'm not saying you couldn't shoot something through both eyes just that there isn't much, if any, room for error with a .50. That's nuckin futs.

Awful lot of "mist" for no contact.
Then again, a 50 BMG strike with no structural damage?

I don't have any ideas that weigh out here.
    Inexplicable.

It doesn't go like you imagine it will.

Interesting vid. Thank you for posting.

I was expecting a big pink mist blow-out.

I think he clipped the doe right along the eyebrow.

I saw that about a week back. Definitely looks like it went through the eyes to me. I have recreated the demo ranch video several times through out my life with different rounds and objects. Simple fact is if you miss nothing happens no matter how close the miss is. You have to hit your target for it to go down.
