Defensive pistol training

I'm interested in taking a defensive pistol class similar to what you would find at Gunsite or Thunder Ranch but closer to West Texas. Any experiences or suggestions?

How far west? Just west of Fort Worth is Tac Pro, I took there defensive pistol many years ago and it was excellent.

Thanks. I live in Lubbock and I'm looking for something closer than Arizona.

I recommend Fundamental Defense. He is located around Weatherford, but travels to Lubock regularly. Classes are scattered around, and his schedule is usually posted on his website. He will even schedule a special class if you have a few friends and neighbors interested too.

If you have the chance to take a class from Paul Howe - Combat Shooting And Tactics (CSAT) I'd highly recommend it. He's located in Nacogdoches. If you take a 3 day or longer class he has on site barracks for no additional cost.
