Delay in CHL Renewals

How long has it taken folks to get their CHL renewed lately?

About 30 days last Fall...

I have students reporting a couple of weeks, and others 6 weeks.

1. Go to: https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/

2. Click on Returning users LOGIN button (bottom center of page)

3. Input your DL number, SSN, and DOB. click CONTINUE

4. You can see where you are in the process

unfortunately, that is only a guide. DPS does not update that too often

Thankfully they have been updating my CHL journey so I can see what step I am on.

Thanks for that information. I just checked the status on my renew and it is complete in for review. It has been 30 days since I sent it in.
