I wouldn't be hanging my hat on it. True conservatives are a minority in the republican party, hell actual republicans are a minority in their own party. Unless and that's a big UNLESS we get more true conservatives in office it's a done deal and the way the majority votes I'm not holding my breath.

I didnt quit my union protected job in a Northern slave state to move to Texas with nothing and start over to be a defeatist.

The GOP is going through a necessary change right now. The old guard is having a hard time letting go. Also, i dont believe the mainstream medias version of where things stand now and who won and who lost.

People are increasingly having to choose sides and i love that. The spending from both parties is insane but there is a growing element of adults trying to take the steak knives away from the children in Congress.

If things keep getting worse (i think it will for awhile), im going to find the good in it. Pick sides, form community get active and educate others and get them out to vote. If it never turns around in my life time, i will continue to fight and be the resistance. Europe is finally waking up. We are usually 40-60 years behind them it seems. However the socialists here are pushing hard and fast, so the right will organize and form a resistance and push back soon and i think the beginning of that is Paul, Cruz and the Tea Party.

Any time in life when confronted by a problem when we can DO something we feel better. Vote. Educate others. Volunteer for candidates you believe in. Donate. And best of all do this in community with others where you can encourage each other.

We wont know how deep the rabbit hole goes till the 2014 elections at least and probably more like the 2016 elections. I have hope that some of the RINOs will get booted in the next few elections. Im really interested to see who the GOP nomination ends up being for 2016. Paul sure did disappear there at the end with all the government shutdown BS. I really wonder what is going on with that. He has since published a lot of articles and interviews saying Obamacare is bad but he dang sure wasn't out there with his buddy Cruz during the climax of it all.

Thats one of the good things about things getting worse. Imagine the extreme sides being chosen in collapsed or collapsing countries like Syria right now. Those poor people. I saw their kids are starving now and the civilians are basically trapped. Why cant that happen here? What will the civilian response be?

People lost their minds when they couldnt buy Twinkees. What are they going to do when they cant buy any food or medicine and have no water?

The fence sitters drive me nuts. Im a realist. Bush ran up the deficit too. I get it. But sitting back and refusing to get on board because neither team is perfect is like freezing up due to fear when you realise the Titanic is sinking. Imma turn a china cabinet into a boat meanwhile.
