Here's what I found with a quick Google search:

Oct 4-5 Mesquite, Big Town Exibit Hall
Nov 15-16 Ft Worth, Will Rogers Center 1000 tbls
    Nov 29-30 Dallas. Market Hall
Dec 6-7 Mesquite, Big Town Exibit Hall

That's it in the DFW area till the first of the year. Hope it helps.

Generally, no. They're either government facilities - with their own laws against concealed carry - or have prominent 30.06 signage posted.

Every local gun show I've been to requires that all firearms brought into the facility be tagged and/or rendered safe somehow (usually with a ziptie through the action).

Yeah, it seems there's a gun show running through Ft. Worth at least once every month. I've been seeing the billboards for this one for a few weeks now.

The price gouging at the Fort Worth Gun show was just short of epic. WASR-10s were up to $740. I don't think I saw a single AR-15 for less than $1200. I saw all of two Saiga-12s - unconverted was $700 and the converted monstrosity was $1800.

Jerky prices were by and large unchanged.

Yeah, the Ft Worth Gun Show was disappointing at best. I went Saturday and bought NOTHING. This is the first time I ever came home without buying something.

It sounds like that's the norm for all if them recently. But I have a hard time calling it gouging. No one has to buy a gun. Demand is up dramatically as people are buying them, thus paying the higher prices.

It's funny how so many people love to accuse politicians and party's of being, socialists, but you want the free market collared so the natural economic activity of supply and demand is choked. Should the government come in and fix prices on goods?

True. It was the option I took. I voted negatively with my wallet, but no shortage of rubes (or the desparate) voted in the positive...

I've read that the supply of guns and accessories in various distribution channels has by and large dried up. Manufacturers haven't been able to react in such a short time period. Actual costs are going to go up as manufacturers start bumping output on their lines, distributors start paying expedite fees, and retailers pass the costs on to the rest of us.

I hope that things start to calm down in the next few weeks. There are some acquisitions that I (foolishly) delayed that I'd like to make...

The short-term price shock is sort of like gasoline prices. Most gas stations receive shipments of gasoline about once a week, but prices change daily. They take profits on the way up (even though their cost-per-gallon is theoretically determined by the shipment invoice), and take losses on the way down.

I'd like to go to the show at Nov 29-30 Dallas. Market Hall.

Does anyone know how likely there are the be private sellers there selling Hi Point handguns? They are my true love. Especially the c9.
