Call Dillon at 1-800-223-4570. The guys are super friendly and informed. Buying a used one is tough. I've been doing reloading for many years have owned 5 Dillon presses and seldom see used ones. I recommend the RL550B.

Roger4314 is right; used Dillons are rare and usually sell by word of mouth and hardly ever make it to classifieds on forums. You might check www.brianenos.com/forums/ Brian is a volume Dillon distributor and has good prices for presses and all related equipment needed (Dillon As It Should Be). Think he still has free shipping as well.

That's a great idea! Brian Enos was/is also a world class competitor in pistol shooting. I'll go there just to nose around!

Some may not know this but when I was shooting in Tulsa, Wilson and his Arkansas boys used to come over to shoot. That guy is also a very old line hard core pistol shooter.

OOPS! The Enos link didn't work.

You can get a stripped 550 Dillon but I wouldn't recommend it. I am converting my older RL450 to all 550 specs and know what that stuff costs. If you buy the stripped 550 and chose to update it later, the per piece prices will hose you. The 550B bundle is a terrific value.

There are three features that are not present on the stripped 550. They include the auto primer feed, auto powder feed with failsafe and the auto loaded round eject. To upgrade the basic unit to full RL550B is a good $200.

The powder feed is pretty ingenious! The cartridge actually enables the powder drop. When a cartridge is NOT present, the powder won't drop onto the unit.

I do NOT use the Dillon strong mount bases. Instead, I mount each of my units to standardized size plywood bases and can mount, dismount or swap any of my equipment in each position on my loading bench. I have a picture in my profile but it is out of date. I invite you to take a look. I'll update the pics today. I set my units up so I could reload while sitting down.

Just checked the link and it worked for me. Try Googling brianenos.com; ought to find his store. Almost did business with him before I tried a LNL. Decided to be a red koolaid guy instead.
