The USSA Hires a Disinformation Czar

David, this attempt at persuading the unpersuaded is a hoot. Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, is, what, the Officer of Disinformation Control for the White House Health Care Plan? Shall we call her the Health Care Disinformation Czar? Watching her body language is particularly humorous. She pushes her glasses down her nose, then at the :44 point of the video she pulls them off, as if to convey a sense of grandma-ness that begs trust. Of course you should report rumors and lies and other “fishy” behavior to grandma! Though this stuff is rolling out of the White House like a bourbon barrel down Mt. Washington, and though it is all entirely predictable, it is still difficult to believe that I exist in a time and place where this type of feeble and childish propaganda is entirely serious.
