    I found this pretty shocking.

If it's been posted elsewhere, someone let me know so I can kill off this thread.

If anyone has any more context for this video, I'd love to see it. Clearly, there's been some editing so I have to think there's more to the story.

Okay, somebody please help me understand this. Under martial law the armed forces are ordered take control of the civilian population. Obviously they do that at the point of a gun. If that's true, what was it she said that is not correct?

Yes, I know. But once we are into a martial law scenario, I suspect that those legal issues take a back seat. Troops are trained to follow orders. I'm remembering Katrina. So everyone is piling on to this woman, but as far as I can tell what she said in the clip is accurate. I'd be happy to be corrected.

There is another thread, but I was looking for it just before I found yours, and I don't know where it's hiding...

I posted this on another forum (Ricochet) a while back: I periodically get emails from “Rally Point Briefing”. It’s sort of a social media site for active duty military and vets. I probably read every other one or so; threads cover everything from education and career advice to how to deal with various situations. Yesterday, a thread popped up titled: “What is the appropriate response for Ashli Babbit?”
The specific question was what did uniformed military members think and did she deserve military funeral honors.

The responses were frankly shocking in their almost universal condemnation and apparent hatred. What strikes me is that we often wonder whether the uniformed military would obey unconstitutional edicts to subdue the civilian populace. I’ve believed, as have many others, that the innate integrity of the common soldier/sailor/marine/airman would prevent them from following illegal orders.

I don’t believe it any more.

Maybe I’m wrong. I seem to recall having to somehow validate my military credentials to become a member of the site. Maybe the people who hate Babbitt responded in numbers that aren’t representative of their cohort size. But reading those comments makes me believe we are screwed. Here we are worried about the armed forces and CRT, and the perfumed princes have already taught the troops to hate civilians and freedom.
