Thats a good looking Shepard TXI.

+1 Still miss my German Shepards. Last one I had died 10 years ago after being "on duty" for 10 years. Can't wait until I get a nice big yard of my own again. Love my little Dachshund that I have now, but you can't replace a German Shepard. There's just no comparison in any other breed, IMO.

I love Belgians. The military uses them heavily for sniffing and of course all military dogs dual hat as cops. Very energetic. I have seen them leap up onto trucks defying the very laws of gravity and they will go beserk for a Frisbie.

One of the MP's in Bosnia with a German Shepard the size of a Buick was sweet on the gal who worked next to me. For six months he dropped this dog off with me while he plied his charm and seduction (on the girl) (I must TrailDustproof this). I spoiled the dog and fed it lavish treats for six months. After the dog went back to the states (CONUS) for about 6 months it returned with a new handler. The dog saw me from 50 yards and dragged the poor MP across the Px trying to get to me. Needless to say the MP was terrified because the dog was a bomb sniffer. He jumped up and near licked me to death. Dogs are better than most of humanity.

I miss my buddy and my girl. Roxy is the black pit lab mix and shelton (A.K.A bubs) is the little dog those are the two we lost this year and Champ is the hound he's the only one I've got left. And he's the one that was boating in the back yard with me.

Those girls are goofy, and Puddin is a pudding head.

I had moved this thread to home town and Alan moved it back to OT. I sent him a pm requesting it be put back. I'd hate to lose track of this thread, plus, it gives the forum a homey touch imho.

Bandit at 7 weeks, first day home, playing in the snow. Was a ball of lightening then, not much has changed now. He frequently zips around the house full bore.
