Dong or NO Dong?

About 7 to 10 years ago I bought AK kits when I thought they were reasonably priced depending on features etc. ($180 to $300)
I recently 'blew-the-dust' off some of the boxes and assembled two so far.
I built a 'Romy-G' and just wondered what the consensus is regarding the 'dong'?

The front handguard is numbers correct to the rifle but I do have the normal non-palmswell lower grip to replace it if it is considered UNDESIRABLE.

It does 'sorta' interfere with the mag remove/replace but not bad.
The fixed rear stock and semi-auto makes the front grip unnecessary but it was in the numbers matching kit.

I have another Romy kit (Side Folder) that has one too but it makes more sense on a side folder.

With a little carving, the dong makes a nice for grip. Taking the dong of of a Romy is like taking the tail fins off of a '57 Chevy.
The essence of what makes it cool.

I guess I should leave the Romies alone and just keep the dong.
The Hungarian and Polish kits have original stocks. If I don't like the VFG I could just grab one of them?

I do have another Fixed Rear Stock on a Polish kit and a plastic stock set for a generic new parts kit.

Most of the other kits are under or side folders.

If you have to ask yourself whether you want to keep your dong (whether you're using your dong or not), then you probably shouldn't have had a dong in the first place......

I'd put a synthetic stock on it, and if I ever decided to sell would re assemble to matching numbers and keep the synthetic for the next build.
