I have my Dad's double barrel shotgun (Stevens 311D) he purchased in the mid 1960's and he used for duck/goose hunting. It is still in great shape but both barrels are full chokes and not interchangeable. My question is can a gunsmith fix the barrels so that they take different chokes? If the answer is yes, could you estimate the costs?

Thanks for the reply. One follow-up, in my O/U I use a modified & improved cylinder set up most all the time, would it be cheaper to open the fixed barrels of my side by side to the same set up without making them interchangeable?
