    I've done the APH through the TPWD. It's only $48 dollars but it allows you access to a lot of hunting areas that the state leases from property owners. You get two booklets that show where the leased property is located. I haven't done this type of Dove hunting in a few years, but you can get into some good hunting sometimes. The main draw back is that it can get kind of crowded. IIRC you get the booklet in the mail, in time to do some scouting of the fields near your area.

    Plus you also get a second booklet that allows you to some public deer/hog hunting areas as well.
