If you don't like it in 308, you can always change out the barrel to something else. You can change it to a 243, 260, 7mm-08, 338 Federal, 358 Winchester, or other's without changing anything but the barrel.
I would change to a Free floating handguard, and install a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block on it. Almost all large framed AR's are way over gassed, and an adjustable gas block will tame the recoil down quite a bit.

    I've got a LR-260H and it's a killing machine on hog's and deer.

That scope is an Athlon Ares BTR, nice scope for the money. The best advice that I'll give you on optic's is buy the best that you can afford, and buy a scope for whatever you are going to use it for.
A high quality scope in a lower magnification range will beat a cheaper scope with a higher magnification range every time.

There are great deals on scopes all the time, you just have to look for them. Don't be afraid of buying a used scope, especially high end scopes. I've bought several over the years, and saved thousand's over buying new.
Closeout's are another way to save a lot of money. That's how I bought the Athlon Ares BTR. When they came out with the Gen 2 Ares, Athlon dumped the 1st Gen scopes from $850 to $500.

Not sure what I want to do with this safe queen, a few years ago I wanted an AR10 so I bought one. Turns out I prefer 308 in a bolt gun and have only shot the thing a couple of times. Round count is less than 100, so I'm trying to decide on what I want to do with it. If I trade it I'd be looking for an AK in some flavor or a PCC. If I modify it the idea is a 20" barrel, new stock, and free float the hand guard. Maybe at that point I'd shoot it more.
What are ya'lls thoughts or ideas?
That is exactly what I did to mine.
Magpul adjustable stock, new Aero Precision bbl and f/f handguard. Wishing I'd used an adjustable gas block but they were OOS when I was collecting parts.

I voted to sell. It's not a rare or one of a kind. Easily replaced down the road if you want to get back into them and prices are as high as their going to get for a while value wise. I saw the Oracle 10s for 599 pre covid. I bet you could get $800 for it right now maybe more.
You sure those weren't the ar15 model?

Not a fan of impingement in large case capacity guns.. so I vote sell

Note: my opinion is worth what you paid for it! NOTHING

If you like it keep it, if not , convert into something you love.

I turned it from a 308win to a 6.5CM. Well too be honest I bought it to be a 6.5CM because of the dpms platform I needed for the build at a cheap price. $450 for the gun and $250 for the barrel.

Here's you a 243 1/8 twist 22" barrel. This is a BCA and will needed too be throated due too being .025" short of sierra 90fmj at 2.650" among other bullet weights. 75vmax is the lightest loaded for this gun. Still a work in progress.

Drop in a trigger, slap an optic and buis on it, buy a bunch of 30 rd mags, and shoot it. Mine is a 1” shooter at 100 yards all day long. Plugging a foam hog target at 400 yards got boring after a while. I’ve had mine for 10 or so years and wouldn’t trade it for nothin’. I paid 670.00 at a gun show in Conroe, I think.

Well, I decided to hang on to it and started swapping some of the furniture out to something more comfortable. That DPMS adjustable stock is HORRID.

Question though, can you use a standard AR 15 extension tube? The DPMS tube is radiased where the bar is under the tube while a Milspec tube is not, so I swapped it out. I did notice however that the DPMS tube is also about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch longer than standard. It function checks fine cycling by hand and the bolt does lock back but unsure whether this is going to be an issue when I actually shoot this thing.
