dps accept motel for addy-4473?

Sold my pos vehicle after i put the guns in the pawn, now i need an address to get them out. Dont really wanna lie on the 4473. Anyone know if a motel is legit for tdl and 4473? (Been here going on a month)

If you can get your DL/ CHL address there then yes. They have to see ID so I don't know how you are going to use a different address than your ID states.

They issue a temp paper dl and cut the corner of your old dl. That will pass at the gun shop.
need to get a few out and sell so i can get a ride. Theyre cutting back on ot so this plan aint working out too good. Was hoping to save up more to get a beta ride....

This is an issue a lot of folks face, RVers in particular. Some folks never plan to have a permanent address again, but need one for things like insurance, drivers licenses, mail, etc. I have met a couple that sails their boat around the world. No home, just a boat that changes places (and countries) on a regular basis. They get their mail forwarded to whatever marina they plan to be at.

Another reason to do a face to face without a FFL being involved

If you live at a hotel then that is your address.

I work for a small shipping facility that has mailboxes available specifically for this reason.... I have Winter Texans (RVers), traveling nurses who use our address as a permanent address, and we make arrangements with the customer on how and when to forward their mail, when not in town.... It is rather easy to do, find your local ups store or mom and pop shipping store and rent a mailbox with them.....

4473 requires current residence address, not mailing address. Back in the 1980s, we lived in a motell for about 2 months. Another couple had been here almost a year. Not that unusual. Known many that have. Just needs state issued ID that reflects that as his residence.

I lived in hotel for almost a year. After 30 days in a hotel you are considered paying rent and residing there (even get a refund on your sales tax you paid up to that point). If your hotel is your address, then you need an ID stating that for 4473.
