Does anyone have experience with drop in triggers? How do they work, is it really as simple as removing the stock trigger and dropping in a one piece trigger unit? Which brands are good?

Yep, Timney, just dropped in, has hammer and all in the unit, came with retaining pins with circlips for both ends so they wont work out. Was about $175 from Midway back then, Made a sweet trigger pull. Woundn't ever consider going back to original parts.
