My fool proof method for boiled shrimp.
Get a proper size pot and add cold water. I mix in a little Old Bay, salt, and sometimes a couple of bay leaves. Add the shrimp, fresh or frozen, doesn't matter. Turn heat to High and just when the water starts to boil, remove the shrimp and place in an ice bath to stop the cooking. Peel, eat, enjoy.
The shrimp turn out cooked perfectly every time. I've tried other ways but this is the most consistent, not overcooked or undercooked.
