Hey guys. I recently received a builders set from CMMG. The upper and lower receivers are listed as their MK4 which, from what I understand, is their milspec AR15 set. I noticed today however, that the ejection port seems to be significantly larger than my Mk9 which has a milspec upper as well.
The left side in the pic measures .583 and the wider right side of the port measures .627. That said, could I use this for a .458 socom build with no modifications to the port? I didn’t originally plan on it but if it’s already capable, why not build a thumper.
