I had one long ago and took them up on the buyback deal when they were having the quality issues.
    I kinda want one again
I really liked the Circle Dot configuration

I've got an Aimpoint PRO and like it also..but I want to consider another Eot Tech 512

I'm still a big Eotech fan. It may not get you likes on social media, but I prefer them. The only downside is battery life, which isn't a big deal for me. I ha e a life time supply of batteries and rechargeables

Hell I don’t really know? I bought two of them simply because they rock. I don’t own an Eotech, rather I went the Aimpoint route
I forgot how much I paid for my Airpoint PRO but it was close to the price of the Eotech 512 back then

Mine was working the last time I used it, hasn't been a problem.

A major issue with the 512 variants is that they still have the AA batteries configured front to back. Battery contact has the potential of being lost during recoil but Eotech claims to have fixed that issue. 512's are going for $360ish depending on the sale which is enticing. I prefer the XPS-2 ($450+-) for its left/right CR123 battery configuration but if I could find a 512 for a knockout price I'd still consider it.

Found one at LGS and they hooked me up for Foe Fitty plus tax

    Trump gun..3.0

This makes it more Jihad/Red Dawn ready in my opinion

As said the battery issue can be a problem.

Otherwise not much has changed since even the old Bushnell ones. i never warmed up to them.

Well I just got back from the range and I have to tell you that Eotech is junk.

I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow for a refund

Everytime I shot, the reticle went out for a good 30 seconds then came back on. It was hard to zero and when I got it set, it lost zero 2 or 3 times. I wasted 100 rounds trying to get it dialed in. Then when I went to take it out of the truck just now batteries leaked acid everywhere inside the truck and it ate a hole in the floorboard of the truck big enough to run your hand through.

Just kidding..I love this thing!
When I bolted it on it was so close to zero I was shocked.
Here are the 1st few shots at 100 yards at 8 inch steel gong.
This is with no adjustments..just bolted it on and started shooting.

This next picture is after a couple click adjustment and shoring up my sand bag rest.
I had good gust from left to right so I was holding left to accommodate for that but I didn't need to apparently because I was hitting where I was holding

This is the last 3 rounds I had and I shot at a 4 inch plate for fun.
Again I was holding slight left foe wind but didn't need to.
I wasn't aware of this until I walked downrange and was able to see the impacts.

All in all..I'm pretty darn happy with the 512.
I figured if I keep this gun handy for whatever happens to come our way, that an optic like a 512 or PRO would be better than a scope..just my opinion.
I've got plenty of other options on my other ARs.

The 512 is just an (e)xps with a larger battery compartment. Same quality, same technology, same materials. I've been lucky to get a few like new ones for less than $250. If you find one in great condition for that range you should jump on it,

I have no idea how long they were in his, but they leaked.
Had a hell of a time getting a replacement.

Where you get it at? Pulled mine out over the weekend and the batteries leaked. Now I can’t get it to work.
