Seller set the rules, you didn't agree. So what's the point? I bet you don't like the BOS. Duh.

No sale. Your decision. To each his own.

Only a rocket scientist would give some one money to take your personal information.

BOS is all about protection is the justification.
What assurances does the buyer have that the seller can legally sell the gun?

Yeah. So I just want a discussion on it..

That's what we start threads for to share our thoughts and experiences

It is my opinion that requiring a BOS and ID is overkill and discorouages some buyers.

So I started this thread to discuss

You stated your opinion and that's right...his gun his rules..I still think it's stupid though..

Tell the buyer sure, I will sign a BOS, just ask for a copy of their Birth Certificate in return.....

I really didn't state my opinion on BOS because that will make this post go on for 10 pages or so. To be a devils advocate though for some buyers they will only make a deal if a BOS is used. When we go through a private purchase the individuals involved are free to set their own rules in Texas, thankfully so. In other states it can be a nightmare.
I don't particularly think you missed a good deal though at the price of the gun but I do like my sub2000. KelTec warranty theoretically applies to the original owner and they usually require a receipt so if you are ever in need of service I think it is best to buy new.

    License to Litter?
    License to Lollygag?
    License to commit Larceny?
    License to Lie?
    License to Lick?
    License to Lounge?
    License to Loaf?
    License to Laugh?
    License to Lay?

What is a LTL how much does it cost and where do we get it?
