I'm amazed that Farcebook, with its headquarters in the Peoples' Socialist Яepublik of Kalifornia, actually admitted that First AND Second Amendment rights would not be infringed on that service.
I slightly disagree with "entire"; there was an awful lot of "anybody but Bush" in the air when he was first elected and that sentiment helped him. (Yes, I know that's irrational.)...the entire reason Obama is in office is because his campaign absolutely killed everyone else' on social media.

However, that's just a quibble. Clearly, the mastery of social media and especially the information gleaned from it put the guy over the top. GOP efforts in that arena were laughable. As far as I can tell, they still are.
I feel as though there's a slight reluctance to accept the younger generation and newer elected officials within the established echelons of the GOP, and with that a reluctance (or minor inability) to adequately conform to what the younger generation is doing to exchange information.
"The victory isn’t total. Facebook will continue to allow guns to be sold through its pages, but it will take down postings in which sellers specifically advertise that they will not conduct a background check or that they are willing to sell across state lines. Facebook will also block people registered as younger than 18 from viewing gun ads.
Facebook will establish a “dedicated channel” for advocates and the public to flag gun sales that don’t comport with the new policies. Once items are flagged, they may be taken down.
“We believe these collective efforts represent the right approach in balancing people’s desire to express themselves while promoting a safe, responsible community,” Monika Bickert, Facebook’s head of global policy management, said in a statement.

sounds like a win for the antis to me

And the anti's are spinning it to seem as though they accomplished something. Sad, really.
Well, FB not being the government can't infringe on Constitutional rights, but you know that.
FB sucks. I'd imagine this is just a business decision, it would cost them a lot of money to constantly scrub facebook of 2A content. Eventually they will try it, same with google and the web hosts.
I fully anticipate the gun culture to be driven underground and marginalized if we can't solidify and and strengthen our rights and get them to be seen as mainstream and legitimate.
Bingo, it brings more harm then good especially to our children. This is where I am an old fuddy duddy as to caring about what FB allows or doesn't allow. I don't put a foot print there and although it may be short sighted on my part I could give a rats ass as to what they allow or don't allow.
To me FB is a fools game.
