Actually, it seems the major carriers were supposed to implement some changes to reduce robocalls - not just the auto warranty calls - in 2020. Of course, the problem with that is if they do that, then folks are less likely to pay them for the service that stops spam on their phones.

I was there one day when he received a call. We (mostly me) strung him along for 30 minutes; switch from having Windows to Mac, then back to Windows. Then back to Mac. Then told him there weren't any problems, and we knew it was a scam. He got mad at us for wasting his time.
