McALLEN, Texas (AP) - A federal probation officer has been arrested on drug trafficking and bribery charges, accused of using government databases to run background checks on truck drivers for a drug-trafficking organization.

Authorities allege that Armando Mora, 36, of Edinburg warned drug traffickers not to hire three truck drivers this year because two were undercover agents and a third was an FBI informant.
Mora was scheduled to make his initial appearance in federal court Thursday. It was not immediately clear if he had hired an attorney.

Oh wow. I really just can't begin to understand the reason people think the way that they do. Maybe they aren't thinking. That must be it, because if they actually thought about what they were gonna do before they did it, they would know that they are stupid... man, stupid people make me really angry.

Anybody else like the idea that any public employee or official who abuses their power (like this guy obviously did) should be stood up against a wall?

Justice will prevail and his dishonesty will be punished, not just in the years behind bars but from his amigos in the pen when they find out he was a Fed. That is unless he is safely up front where they put crooked cops to protect them from other inmates. On the other hand he might be a hero to the other dopers and dealers.

He was put in there for helping them so they might like him. If he was put in there for beating his wife or something it would be Solitary confinement for the duration of the sentence. And the guards wont like him either.

But he's a probation officer helping the bad guys. I bet he gets more protection than anything in there unless they feel that he'll roll over on them. Then he'll be out in days. Maybe in pieces, but he won't be in long.

You're not actually suggesting... I mean... Congress? The Senate? No! Really????

It needs to be a Constitutional Amendment. Then we'd have two crimes prohibited by the Constitution.

They usually separate out the cops and child molesters.
