    At least the Democrats are consistent - once again they are going after law abiding citizens instead of criminals. Perhaps once they pass the "assault weapons" ban and we are classified as criminals they will leave us alone too!
    It's a nice dream, for sure.
    The true answer is: they leave us alone when their power is absolute. And, even then, perhaps not.

    Federally, since this is the FBI publishing the data, AW's are part of "Rifles", I believe.

    Note that Personal Weapons (Hands/feet/fists) are ~nearly-DOUBLING rifles, Knives are ~4x as many than rifles, AND Blunt objects are higher than rifles "every single year".
