Checked out your website, very nice work. Was about to order another buckle for my son but he said he wanted to wait for now. Got my last few from Payne bits and spurs but may hit you up on the next one.

I use a GRS Graver Max system. It runs on compressed air. It’s basically a miniature jack hammer. It uses Carbide or HSS tips sharpened in various geometric profiles.

Cool, I would’ve never expected that to be the method. So you’re essentially stamping the designs?

It’s actually chiseling away the material. Before the modern equipment, all hand engraving was done with a hammer and chisel. The pneumatic equipment just replaces the hammer. I still use a hammer and chisel for certain designs and hard to reach places.

    Color me SERIOUSLY impressed!
If you take on projects, I may have one or two for you!

Thanks. I used to do a bunch of commissioned firearm engraving. I decided to not renew my FFL a few years ago. The engraving was all I used it for. It was more hassle than it was worth. Now I just engrave firearms for myself and friends. Holler at me if you have some projects, I can help with recommendations.
