So are all ratchets/sockets not made by Snap On just cheap knock offs? Are all slip joint pliers not made by Channel Lock just cheap knock offs? I could go on but hopefully my point is made. Just because someone else makes something cheaper and similar - that's not always a bad thing.

As far as I know - Aimpoint designed the Micro-Dot. Other companies like the design enough to make thier own versions for thier own targeted customer base. So what???

I thought PA was domestic here in Texas? And aren't they designing their stuff ground up? The hold a few patents I thought. I'm sure it's Chinese components, but when you're designing your own shit, what makes it a knockoff? Unless you mean the design? Then everything thing is a knock off of something else.

Yes PA is based in texas and yes they do have a few knock off or copies of aimpoint red dots,,,,,, BUT the scope I purchased is not one of those I believe (may be wrong) but is similar to the design of an leupold HAMR or a 4x ACOG..... All of PAs optics are manufactured in china and I'm ok with that.... So far the quality looks pretty good but only time will tell.

Went back to the range again, got AR Zeroed and had No problems,,,,,,, put about 300 rounds through, the mount maintained zero and nothing came loose, the locktite seems to have fixed the problem at least so far.

Well if you aren't typing on an IBM or a Mac (unless you're on phone like me) you've bought a counterfeit or a knock off so.....
