    Howdy gents.
Im currently in the process of building a suppressor.
It is primarily for a Kimber .45 1911gov and a Springfield .45 XD. It will (hopefully) be used on a g19 also.
I appreciate any help and (nice) critiques!

    UPDATE: 5/8/14
After much measuring, trial and error, more measuring, more purchases of aluminum, and more trial and error. I have finally nailed down the OD and ID of the tube and baffles.

The ID of my tube is bigger than the OD of my booster, so once I loctite the crap out of the spacer I will remove the excess "collar" and it will spin flush with the booster.
The reason for such tom-foolery is that I wanted the largest ID tube possible with the thinnest walled tube possible.

From tonight: loctite in the collar/spacer. Wife's finger nail polish remover. AKA Ben's degreaser.

    UPDATE 5/9/14
I parted off the excess shoulder and the booster screwed in nicely. Have not made any k-baffles or end cap. It's just a booster and tube.
Put it on my g19 and wanted to see if it would cycle...
Well, I fired 6 shots and none of them cycled. I imagine it's BC the tube sits at 12" long BC I have not cut it to length yet.
    Would a weaker spring help???
I just realized it might be that there is no end cap. Which leaves it zero back pressure for the booster to work on. Hmmmmm... Duct tape for a test end cap??

End cap. I want something fancier and will make something eventually. I was just ready to get it done so I could Pew Pew it and see how it sounded.

Expansion chamber. A little bigger/longer than I'd like. Maybe I'll change it one day. Maybe not.

Blast baffle. Made from stainless. Holding up beautifully.

I prefer LoneWolf barrels, would use stainless or titanium for the tube, booster is your choice, make sure you have run the numbers on pressure etc. so that you get tube length and diameter where it needs to be for maximum suppression and safety, monocore is fine but stacked baffles can be rotated to assist in prolonging the life of the suppressor. I would use stainless or titanium for the baffles as well.

I assume you already have the required stamp in hand for your build. Let us know how it turns out and don't forget to take lots of pictures of the build.

    Awesome. Thanks!
I have an unlimited supply of stainless luckily.
It turns out gemtech doesn't carry a .45 booster. Theirs are part of the suppressor and can't be removed.
Sooo I gave the guys at liberty a call and they were more than helpful. The booster and additional piston are on the way.

I think lone wolf will be perfect for the glock19 but I'll probably do storm lake for the 1911 since it's a Kimber.
    I'll take plenty of pictures!

    Right off the bat:
The internals have been changed from a monocore to Kbaffles.
I'm making it ~9"long so a monocore would have been waaaaay heavy.
First 2 baffles will be stainless and the next 6 will be titanium.

I'll get pics when the shavings start flying.

    Alright.
So tube is 6061 Aluminum and baffles are 7075 with a SS blast baffle.
Any suggestions on end cap designs? Should it be SS or aluminum?

I don't want to do more than ±.03" than my booster OD which is 1.375". I didn't want the tube to be bigger or smaller than the booster. It'd look funny.
I could have had a tube OD of 1.375 and an ID that would match the OD of the booster threads, thus eliminating the need for the double threaded spacer. But that made my wall too thick.
I also wanted the the thinnest wall tube possible 1)aesthetics 2)weight reduction 3) increased ID which = more volume. Which = better suppression (the whole idea right? Lol)
