Most started bow hunting this morning. This year I went after tree rats.

I’ve got about 20 of em that run ramped here among all the oak tree canopy (trees & squirrels are thick!) What the hell do they taste like? I’ve never eaten any squirrel.
I love Squirrel. I just do a quick flour dip then fry them. I think they tasty like an oaky gizzard, which I rather enjoy.

My yard is brimmin with em!

    All cat squirrels.

As long as they don't get in my attic, I leave em be, but years back I hunted them (in the woods, not in my yard) and I'd always stopped at 6.

    Why?

They're a bitch to clean...at least for me.

We got some kind of brown tree squirrel here. Not sure what it is, but apparently it's not native and has displaced the gray squirrel. My neighbor hated them and trapped them, but I pretty much left them alone until they started girdling my Golden Willow branches and I lost several big branches. Then I shot of few with my Hatsan .22cal air rifle. Funny thing, my dog wasn't interested in them once they were dead on the ground!!
