A little rave for my co-workers.

For several years we have had a food drive for the Hays county food bank. Our employees break up into teams of a dozen or so, and have a little friendly competition - we've only got about 70 people. We usually got the miscellaneous yucky stuff in employee's pantries and raised a couple of hundred pounds of food - until last year. One of our employees got proactive and went to HEB and asked the manager if they would give him some food for the food bank - which they did - cases and cases of food. Last year we raised 1799 lbs. of food and the bar was raised.

We went a little crazy this year:

3900 lbs of food. The food bank had to send three vans to get it all. Their volunteer's eyes about bugged out in their heads when they saw our pile. Wonder what next year will bring.
