Let my daughter shoot my slick sided upper AR-15, which tends to eject the brass nearly straight rearward since there's no block for the bounce to rebound from. As a lefty, that means the brass pops her in the right cheek.
So I did what any father would do - built her an AR-15 with a 'regular' upper.
My oldest Grand daughter will love this! She has a sweet old school 10/22 now. Her Walther P-22 target red dot DR will swap right over.View attachment 271305
