I have eForm 1 my Mossberg Maverick 88 to a SBS. 17” barrel with the “shockwave” grip.

However, now I want to shorten the barrel by other 2-3”. Do I have to eForm 1 the shotgun and pay another $200 just to shorten the barrel even more?

This says send the ATF a letter. I'm looking around more. I thought you needed to keep the ability to return to the originally approved design, meaning keep the current bbl and cur a second bbl even shorter.

Ah, this says mail a letter for a permanent change & no action for a temporary change. If you keep the original bbl then don't do anything. If you cut the original bbl then mail a letter.
