Political Non Profit Corporation is what I believe they are called.

You form the corporation and then apply to the I.R.S. Mobsters for the 501c4 status

Be sure you pay VERY close attention to the monthly reports and filings. Failure to dot every "i" and cross every "t" by the required monthly deadline can get expensive quickly, to tune of $500 per incident. The donation and collection rules are a nightmare to comprehend and follow.

I've actually thought a good deal about this type of thing. I don't have any experience with it, but I can always learn. The problem with a not-for-profit is that you have to be careful about political actions and endorsements. It all comes down to what your purpose and goals are.

    I can't even spell 501(c)(4)

Let's see ... we have 5,000 members, most love guns, a few hate America (we know who you are), some are twice as lazy as me ... however ...

Why include trouble? Let's just meet up at the range and eat later. You have to have a circle of friends. As many as possible would be good. Aren't we a club?
