FORT WORTH -- A homeowner shot and killed an intruder early Sunday after hearing someone in his backyard, police said in a news release.
No one else was injured in the shooting that happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8100 block of Camelot Road near Willow Creek Park in far south Fort Worth.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Pierre Bullock, 24, of Fort Worth. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Bullock had no previous criminal history in Tarrant County, according to Tarrant County criminal court records.
The 37-year-old homeowner who authorities did not identify told police that he grabbed a gun and went to his backyard when he heard someone there.
The homeowner fired five times and went back inside of his home to protect his children, according to police reports.
Bullock made it to the front yard where he collapsed, police said.
Patrol officers responded to a call of a shooting on Camelot Road and found Bullock’s body in the front yard.
The homeowner could not be reached Sunday.
Police continued to investigate the shooting Sunday afternoon.

    Not much detail here.
Was he attempting to steal something, drunk and lost, ect...
The real question is was there a imminent treat of danger or loss of life???
Its going to interesting to see how this unfolds.

We had a cop here that was shot in a backyard. The homeowner was not charged, the officer failed to indentify himself three times, so he got shot in the arm

Yeah, that's the part of the details that missing. I'm assuming the homeowner found the guy in his backyard and tried to identifying the guy before opening fire. That little bit of information could swing this pretty far one way or the other.

I'll keep watching for some details.
Seems when there are few details, the police are at odds with the facts or just can't get a clear picture of what happened.
But my CHL instructor who is a Sgt in FW made the statement. When the BG is dead, there is no other story but yours if there are no witnesses.

    Is he really the victim?
