So out of curiosity regarding the topic, was the site hacked due to the server you use or due to the contend of the forum? Did you have issues with your hay forum as well?

    Alan did it.

Too funny. Where's that like button?

I was on at 2:19, getting ready to go to the next page of a thread and got a 404. I thought, hmm, should post something in the site problems thread - 404. I then googled the Myanmar Muslim Hacking Force - lots of sites have been hacked by them and they claim to be an associate of anonymous. Good going new owners.

I got a hacked message, but don't recall it being anything muslim. Couple of pop up boxes, etc, but don't remember anything muslim.

This is the landing page that they posted up
(They also borrowed a CD from Jakashh, and played some of his music :p)

That's not the site I saw. It had a pop up window at first you had to click OK, then something else about the site being hacked and what else that particular group did. Didn't bother to read it, and keep the speakers on mute since I don't like the computer beeping at me, so no idea if there was any music associated with it.

This was probably just before 1900 local.

i bet it wasn't anonymous, probably wasn't even muslims from myanmar. i bet it was just some hackers that do crap because they can
Kinda what I was thinking... Probably just a bunch of trolls.

So is it really a good idea to bring the site back up before the vulnerability is identified?

Hey all, update. Still waiting for VB to answer the support ticket to the upgrade errors. We have 2 options, 1 to restore the site to last night before the update or wait for VB. Waiting may mean a few features do not work like USERCP, The inbox, etc...

But I don't want to lose the posts all the way back til last night.

We have worked on this all night, mostly making sure the site will be hack free. Apparently before there were some old corrupt files they wormed their way through.
