    Howdy everyone!

Found this forum a few months ago and been lurking since, figured I should register and introduce myself...

I live in CO currently, but for the last 10 years or so have spend on average about 1/3-1/2 of each year in TX (mostly N. Texas) for work/visiting; love the State and have a handful of long-time friends down here...

Small-town born & raised, redneck engineer, long-term enthusiast & collector of firearms (and various-era weapons in-general), big 2A supporter, do most of my own gunsmithing & Form1-related machining, and looking forward to participating on the forums!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Looking forward to seeing some of the pics from the machine shop
Don't have much in the way of "shop" pics at the moment; I've been trying to free up some space lately and am currently down to just a small lathe in the garage, but there's a Makerspace near me with a full accoutrement of full-size machinery avaliable when needed (w/ 24/7 member access)...

That said, while I'm usually pretty restrained about posting pics online, given how everybody enjoys a good bit of gunporn and I've seen a few recent threads related to 6.5CM rigs, I'll throw-down with these...

Recent 6.5CM build, the F1 can it's wearing is one of my initial designs (w/purchased caps/tube):

Where did you get those AR pistol cases and how much did they cost you? If you don't mind me asking.

Picked up that case a few years ago at a small local shop. Here's a link to the same one on Amazon, priced in same ballpark as what I paid (about $90)...

    https://www.amazon.com/5-11-COVRT-Shorty-6-25-Inch-Sandstone/dp/B00FJYRQT0

I've found it to be the perfect size for "intermediate" sized AR pistols/SBRs, KSG, MPX-k w/ can, etc., but is just a bit too large for the really short ones (e.g. - unsupressed 3-6" uppers, etc.)

Um, howdy? Native Texan. Spent 2013-2016 in Falcon, CO. Travelled most of the state. What parts of CO are you at?

My wife likes Mesa Verda and Grand Junction. I prefer Routt County and the immediate area that’s forested.

Gunnison/Crested Butte is nice, but too touristy for me.

Let’s not talk about the Maroon Bells area....beautiful but spoiled.

Currently in NoCo/N. Denver area, but plan to relocate somewhere a bit more remote at some point when that becomes feasible...

Lots of scenic and awesome places in CO, thats for sure. Been here nearly 2 decades and still exploring...
