I'm Patrick, age 25
I shoot mostly for recreational. I have 2 shotguns, 2 AKs, 1 9mm, and 1 45 Colt Vaquero. I haven't been to any gun ranges in Texas. Former USMC.
I want to get a M1A Scout or a FNAR Heavy Barrel, leaning towards the FN.

Welcome to TGT, Devildog! There's a nice outdoor range right there in your neighborhood (so to speak). It's called Lone Star Gun Range, and it's just a little north of Lockhart. They're great for shooting your long-guns at. Then there's Red's in south Austin (although, they've got a north one in Pflugerville as well). That's a good indoor range.

Anyway, again - welcome, from San Marcos! Always good to have another Marine on this board.

Lone star is a nice place to shoot as the folks that run it are very nice.
