If I wanted to own a full auto .50 cal machine gun, what would I need to do to get my hands on one?

Just a hypothetical question. I know its gotta be possible, I just don't know if there's any different steps than buying a silencer or full auto AR.

Are you required to be a class 3 dealer to own one?

Either I'm wrong, or I'm getting ready to set a guy straight on this. lol

Ok, I figured if anyone could pull out some weird rule that I've never heard of, it would be you guys. I'm not going to respond to this guy trying to call me out until this afternoon, so plenty of people have time to see this and tell me if there's some weird, out there thing I haven't heard of. In the mean time, I'm gonna go ahead and contact a few local gun shops and really set this guy up for an embarrassment. :D

You would need a transferable, made before 86. OR, you could be a dealer/manufacturer or whatever, and make a dealer sample. A transferable is gunna be $$$$$

Ok, that's some good info. I've heard that there's people who specialize in tracking down pre-86 weapons. Anyone know of one of these guys?
