    Why? I want to experiment.

I have searched and find nothing. Guess I would have to have a custom chambering? All I have found or heard of is the 3" springfield.

    Any ideas?

Why would you want to build a .45 GAP 1911?

Like I said, just want to do some experimentation. I've got "wildcattin'" in my blood!

It would be interesting how it would perform in a bullseye format type pistol. Since your are using reduced loads anyway, why not? Just like accuracy in a rifle, the fuller the case, normally the more accurate the load will be.

That's the reason behind this foolish thought. An expensive experiment.

    Thanks

Then it might be fun to try. Besides, there are several guys out there with .45 GAP ammo they bought by mistake I bet you cold get cheap. Mags would still be a trick, but if they can put a spacer in a mag for 9mm (may not be the one to rely on) why not a .45 GAP.
