    Forum-inappropriate stories entered then deleted. I don't need to have to mod myself.

    And just an aside, my involvement was never really my "former job". It was just part-time work for which the Treasury department (for whom I worked full-time) had granted me an outside employment waiver. The boss who approved that request just made it clear I was to use a nom de plume and make sure my life there could never be traced back to the bureau.

    Then what happened? Did you repeat the 5th grade?
    No, I just finished out the year in my regular neighborhood elementary school. I was booted from the district's math & science magnet school. The only downside was a middle school was next door, and I was able to take their early morning 6th grade advanced math class then come back for my regular school day. When I went to the neighborhood school, that option wasn't available.

    I was expelled in 5th grade for this same “problem.” When asked “do you want to come up here and teach this class?” apparently “sure” wasn’t the correct answer.
    Had a friend who got suspension for arguing with a teacher when the teacher insisted that lead was a better conductor than gold.
