I will pass on that Ford engine. My first truck was a Ford, within 3 days of purchase, NEW, it caught on fire from a poorly run wire bundle through a motor mount. I have owned more than a dozen GM products, and not ONE has ever caught on fire! Have they all been perfect? No, they have not, but every issue except one was corrected within 24 hours. My first car, a 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity, paid with the money from my first job and while still in high school, lived to a ripe old age of 318K miles and finally passed on in 2007! I gave it to my parents when I bought my first S-10, damn I miss that truck! and the second S-10 that I drove to 503K miles! Now I drive an older Duramax, 2011, still running strong with 240K+ and since my parents are older now and they cannot climb into the Duramax, I purchased new in 2018 a GMC Sierra 1500 for taking them to the city for medical appointments, it only has about 12K miles on it.
Do you have a 6.5? :roflfunny:
