Postal vehicles never have license plates as they are considered "federal" vehicles and thus exempt from state licenseing. The number 0332444 is the vehicle number and serves the same purpose. A little known fact is the drive for the USPS new drivers have to go through drivers training class and "?behind the wheel" qualification. Untill late nineties USPS had government -USPS issued drivers license, that requirement was dropped.

My aunt and uncle in the late 1970's did not have running water in their farmhouse, there was a hand pump. It was an outhouse, a washtub for a bath, and a chamber pot at night. They still cooked on a wood stove at this time. I'm only 53, oh they did have electricity for lighting, they may have been poor, but they were HAPPY. Things are not important, it is who is in your life.

Oh that ain't nuthin.' We lived under a leaf on the highwy and when the wind blew we'd all have to scurry to keep up..

They *USUALLY* have a paper tag hiding in the rear window. Made stops for the window effecting the angular visibility before (warning) but have to pick my battles when calls are stacking up now that all us Motors guys are back in cars and doing regular patrol...

In California you do not need a plate for the first 6 months of car ownership. Steve Jobs was well known to buy a car every 6 months to avoid a license plate.
Tesla and California, do you see any connection?

He was also well known for, by default, parking in handicapped-designated spaces. Consideration for his fellow humans seems to have been a concept entirely foreign to him.
