I damn sure practice a straight finger off the trigger until I intend to put a hole in something. At our meet up near Cresson few months ago I got a brass from shooters next to me in my shirt. Hot!!!! Folks later told me my gun was always pointed downrange and down. I *think* my finger was instinctively off the trigger ... damn sure hope so. It’s what I train to do.
