    I remember fixing my first TV when I was a kid. Dad came home to find all of the tubes pulled out. Beat my ass! After regaining consciousness; I replaced the tubes - including the one I replaced- and it worked fine. Dad apologized meekly, and told me to never do it again. He got me an electronic experimenters kit for Christmas from Radio Shack. Much to his chagrin; my first projects were a toilet seat alarm, and refrigerator alarm.
