I remember when I broke my foot. I limped my way into the house for dinner. Mom says what with the limp? I teller I don't know, we were playing street baseball & when I jumped down from first to go to second it started hurting really bad. First base was a water meter in the neighbors yard & there was a 3 foot retaining wall to the street, second was a manhole cover in the street.

So we ate dinner & I was limping around worse & mom say go take a bath & soak your foot. After that I limped into the living room & my dad asked WTF was my problem. After my dad finished reading his news paper & watching the TV news mom & had figured I might need to go to the hospital. I even had to limp my way into the ER. I think they both felt bad when the doctor sees my foot when walking in & says looks broke from here.

Once we get back home I'm on crutches. The bedrooms all had hardwood floors that they kept paste waxed, with throw rugs. My crutch hit the corner of a rug & slipped & I went down like a ton of bricks.
