Galco Stinger Belt Holster for Sig Sauer P238 (Black, Right-hand)

I just received my new holster from Galco. It is for my Sig P238. It is supposed to be form fitted however it is very tight and I have to force the gun into the holster and then it is very hard to get out.
I have never had a leather holster so my question is.....Do I need to put the gun in the holster and leave it for a while? Will it loosen up after the gun is in it for a period of time?
Any comments welcome.
