Galil ace or cz bren

I have several ar's and I love them but want something else in the same caliber and takes the same mags. What is your opinion between the bren or the galil

Just my opinion.
Neither is better than an AR.
Close up, far away. The AR just does it all and does it well.

If you ever suppress it, get the Bren. The Ace supposedly doesn’t cycle well with a can on it.

The Ace is sorta like a modernized AK...I’d get the Ace if I never wanted to put a can on it.

My vote is for the BREN. Very rugged and reliable from what I have seen and experienced.

I have only held an ACE before. I prefer my AKs in 5.56 to it. Not a fan of IWI or firearms from that area of the world anyways but that is just a personal preference thing. Atleast the ACE takes AR mags right out of the box as opposed to converting a Saiga or VEPR which can become costly. I am guessing that it has the reliability of an AK which is also a positive if true

Either one should be good but I would pick the BREN based off of ergos, aesthetics and a positive experience when I shot one

Same here, worst thing about that is that it's in my safe.

Galil is older tech, honestly I'd be more stoked about it if it was the original old school Galil configuration. The new ones doesn't do anything for me. Lots of steel so it will be heavy.

Bren is new tech and I'd equate it to a SCAR 16 type. Go Bren.
