$3.24 a gallon last night. With 35 cents a gallon off.

Price would have been 3.59 a gallon.

    Kroger Little Elm.

May be a gas crunch will make SUV and truck prices go back down.
I thought about that! In the past, people would foolishly loose money when jumping back to more fuel efficient vehicles during high gas prices. The gas savings never recovered their loss as they also jumped back to an SUV within a year or so after fuel prices decreased.

The issue this time...what are they going to buy? Used car prices are stupid high and new car inventory is low. So a big SUV dump that should lower their used value somewhat but drive used car prices even higher. New cars could see more "market adjustments" to charge over msrp due to demand.

I don't have a crystal ball but it may play out differently. I sold my wife's somewhat fuel efficient vehicle last October since it's value had increased 50% from the prior year making a 6yo vehicle worth just $8k less than msrp when we bought new.

I paid $4.09/gallon for non ethanol (recreational use) gas. Filled six 5 gallon cans in preparation for hurricane season....and keeping the tank on full in the Expedition which was $3.59/gallon.......
